Kayla Mercado - Staff Accountant

A Connecticut native, Kayla began her career in customer service 20 years ago and soon developed a strong background in operations and finance. She managed bookkeeping for an automotive business, and then spent over a decade overseeing nonprofit school programs for 11 schools across northeastern Connecticut. Kayla then transitioned into the South Carolina Public Charter School system, where she continued to apply her experience in financial management and organizational support. As a Staff Accountant for Copper Advisors, Kayla draws on her extensive background, expertise, and knowledge to provide clients with the highest level of accounting services and personalized support. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and pets, coaching local recreational cheer teams, visiting breweries, and finding new iced coffees to love.
